Abstract:
Age-related loss of skeletal muscle mass and function, known as sarcopenia, are associated with increased rehospitalization and mortality. In this review, we will summarize the research on aging-related muscle loss and dysfunction, focusing on the measurement of muscle protein synthesis and decomposition, influencing factors and molecular regulatory mechanisms during aging. The purpose is to analyze the mechanism of age-related myasthenia in order to improve our understanding of the research related to myasthenia in the elderly and promote further research on geriatric health care.
